Dimitris Tiniakos (1920-1997) Born in Andros and lived in Korydallos (Piraeus)
A graduate of A.SK.T, he studied in the workshop of Constantinos Parthenis, and was taught engraving by Yannis Kefallinos.
In 1989, the National Gallery honored him with a special exhibition of his works. His work is in the context of figurative painting, with landscapes, seascapes, still lifes and anthropocentric subjects occupying a special place. It is an indisputable fact that Tiniakos's passion for engraving was great, this can also be seen in his paintings. He is among the greatest engravers of his generation, along with other great names, such as Kefallinos, Katraki, Grammatopoulos, Velissaridis, and other great artists.
