He was born in Athens in 1919 and died in 1995. From a very young age he showed his exceptional talent in painting and so, at the age of just sixteen, he was admitted to the Athens School of Fine Arts. His teachers were the great painters of the time, including the famous George Iakovidis. He graduated from the School with honors. He is considered especially a painter of Attica, who has traveled around it bit by bit and has artistically transformed the diverse beauty of its landscapes. He has painted the quirky chapels, village houses, old towers and castles of the area. At the same time, however, his landscapes are inspired by other, equally interesting places in Greece.
